What is the Discarded Vehicle Card?
The Discarded Vehicle Card is a system for registering cars that can start the game "from Episode 21 in Story Mode" or "from a 600 HP/B class car" on your friend's BANAPASSPORT Cards.
"Discarded Vehicle Cards" can only be used as gifts for friends.
How to Get Discarded Vehicle Cards
You can earn one Discarded Vehicle Card by playing 60 times with a car registered on your BANAPASSPORT Card.
Earn up to 5 Discarded Vehicle Cards on one BANAPASSPORT Card.
Earned Discarded Vehicle Cards are displayed on the first page of the Car Data Confirmation screen.
How to Use the Discarded Vehicle Card
You can't use earned Discarded Vehicle Cards yourself, but they can be given to friends.
Register cars that your friends can use to start the game from "Episode 21 of the Story Mode", or a with "a 600 HP/B class car" by gifting them to your friends on the Wangan Terminal.
■Step 1 Earn Discarded Vehicle Cards on the arcade cabinet
Play the game using the BANAPASSPORT Card on the arcade cabinet.
Earn one Discarded Vehicle Card by playing 60 times with one car.
*You can't earn a Discarded Vehicle Card by playing a total of 60 times with multiple cars.
*You can earn up to 5 Discarded Vehicle Cards.
■Step 2 Gift a Discarded Vehicle Card to a friend with the Wangan Terminal (Friend must be present to perform transfer)
Gift the Discarded Vehicle Card to your friend on the Wangan Terminal.
Touch the Wangan Terminal screen to begin using the Wangan Terminal.
Press your Banapasspot Card to the card reader.
Touch "Gift a Discarded Vehicle Card".
*You can't touch "Gift a Discarded Vehicle Card" if you don't have any that you can gift.
An explanation for the Discarded Vehicle Card system will be displayed. Touch "OK" or "YES" if you've read it and don't have any problems.
See the explanation for gifting on the left side, and for receiving on the right side of the screen.
Press your friend's BANAPASSPORT Card to the card reader.
Gifting the Discarded Vehicle Card is complete if the following screen is displayed.
*You can't gift a Discarded Vehicle Card to a BANAPASSPORT Card that already contains Discarded Vehicle Card data.
However, if your friend has a Discarded Vehicle Card that they earned from the arcade cabinet, they can receive another one as a gift.
*You can't gift to a BANAPASSPORT Card that has 100 cars registered.
■Step 3 Use the Discarded Vehicle Card
Friend Uses the received Discarded Vehicle Card on a arcade cabinet to register a car that can start the game "from Episode 21 of the Story Mode" or "with a 600 HP/B class car".
Insert a coin in the arcade cabinet and start the game.
Use the BANAPASSPORT Card that received a Discarded Vehicle Card on the card reader.
A notification that you can use the Discarded Vehicle Card will be displayed.
The selection on the farthest left side of the screen, "Select a car to use in a race," will become "Register a 600 HP/B class car". Select this option to use the Discarded Vehicle Card.
*If you select an already registered car here, the received Discarded Vehicle Card won't be deleted.
Select a manufacturer and a car to register your car.
The car will be registered as being able to start "from Episode 21 of the Story Mode"/ as a 600 HP/B class car", and can be used in a race.
Cars that can be registered on Discarded Vehicle Cards
The following types of cars can be registered on the BANAPASSPORT Card when using a Discarded Vehicle Card.
・Story Mode → From Episode 21
・Tuning → 600 HP/B (Power 10/Handling 10)
The name and body color will be registered the same as a normal car.
*The following types of cars can be registered on the BANAPASSPORT Card when choosing some models.
・Story Mode → From Episode 21
・Step-up → Power 10/Handling 10
Example of How to Use a Discarded Vehicle Card
The Discarded Vehicle Card can be used as follows.
Example 1）
You have a friend who hasn't played Wangan Maxi 4. You want to race together in Wangan Maxi 4, but all the cars you own are cars that have been highly tuned so your friend can't compete.
→In that kind of situation, gift a Discarded Vehicle Card to your friend's BANAPASSPORT Card. You'll enjoy an equally close race if your friend registers a 600 HP/B class car to race.
Example 2）
There's a model that you're interested in, but you want to see how it feels when it's tuned. You have earned a Discarded Vehicle Card in the game, but you can't use it yourself...
→In that kind of a situation, trade Discarded Vehicle Card with friend. Both you and your friend can try a tuned car that you're interested in.
