本系列中极具特色的背景音乐（BGM）是日本代表性游戏音乐作曲家—“古代祐三”创作的湾岸TRANCE！本款游戏中也增加了全新的乐曲。

在故事模式下,根据故事的情景,为每个故事分配了背景音乐。

"在线分身对战"、"店内 中断对战"和"挑战最佳纪录模式"模式下，在时间段选择屏上选择您最喜欢的背景音乐。（清除选择后，您可以在故事模式下做选择。）

在时间段选择屏上选择您最喜欢的背景音乐，当屏幕上出现背景音乐选择窗口时，按下"角度切换按钮（绿色的方按钮）"。

在故事模式下满足某些条件，赢得特别背景音乐。
在比赛期间收听您赢得的特别背景音乐。（您可以为每辆赛车赢得背景音乐。）

赢得特别背景音乐后，在卡片数据确认屏幕的第9页上选择背景音乐。

将方向盘左右移动，选择您要收听的背景音乐。由于此选择保存在每辆汽车的BANAPASSPORT卡上，如果您要收听另外的曲目，使用相同步骤重新选择另一个背景音乐类型。
